Off Road NZ had their open day today in Rotorua which involved some nicely discounted rides on all their offerings. The weather was pretty miserable, with lots of overnight and early morning rain, but when I headed out there around 9:30am the sky was relatively clear.
The one thing I was most excited about trying was the new Raceline Karting which just opened in August 2010.

This morning, half the staff from my office including myself were lucky enough to get a famil on the luxury 53 foot catamaran that cruises Lake Rotoiti.
This morning Jason and I ventured out to Kaitiaki Adventures for a little white water sledging adventure down the Kaituna River.
We arrived bang on 9am which is the time we were told to be there by, we then had to wait for the other customers to arrive as they were being picked up from town by the courtesy van.
Well, after my workmate Craig Hammond went up on a floatplane ride over Mt Tarawera with Volcanic Air Safaris’ (VAS) last week, I was pretty envious. But fear not, Ann Parker from VAS said I could come down when ever I liked to have a free transfer back to the airport, as they store the helicopters there every night.
There’s plenty of fun to be had at Agroventures in Rotorua. With five different adventure activities all on the one property, you’d be hard pressed to find a better place to enjoy Rotorua if you enjoy a little adrenaline pumping action.
Our office staff at Destination Rotorua Tourism Marketing were invited out to Agroventures this evening to celebrate the Melbourne Cup. We were split into two teams and competed head to head in four of the heart pounding activities fighting for the best score.
