Rotorua information website widget

Today I finished a information widget for rotoruaNZ.com that allows people to have the following on their own website. It uses an iFrame to show a page from the rotoruaNZ.com site. It gives us some control over Rotorua content that people are putting on their websites. It uses the Mootools javascript library for the pop-out menu and fading image galleries.

Melbourne Cup at Agroventures, Rotorua

There’s plenty of fun to be had at Agroventures in Rotorua. With five different adventure activities all on the one property, you’d be hard pressed to find a better place to enjoy Rotorua if you enjoy a little adrenaline pumping action.

Our office staff at Destination Rotorua Tourism Marketing were invited out to Agroventures this evening to celebrate the Melbourne Cup. We were split into two teams and competed head to head in four of the heart pounding activities fighting for the best score.

My 12,000ft Skydive

Today I was lumped with the job of looking after six media delegates from around the world on a trip out to the Rotorua Airport for a complementary Skydive with N-Zone while they were in town for TRENZ ’08. A bit out of the usual job description for a humble Web Development Co-ordinator at Destination Rotorua Tourism Marketing, but I was up for the challenge, and I thought it would be a good chance to spend a nice autumn day outside.
