Rotorua awards 3000th Facebook fan

As part of my day job at Destination Rotorua Tourism Marketing as Web Development Coordinator I setup and maintain the official Rotorua Facebook fanpage.

Along with Craig Hammond, the Domestic and Events Marketing Coordinator, we keep the posts and updates coming that automatically get posted to our official Rotorua Twitter account.

On March 22, I posted “Counting the fans until we hit 3000, only 76 to go! Might have to round up a goodie bag for the 3000th fan!“, five days later Rotorua had their 3000th fan.

So the following week I contacted some local Rotorua operators who are actively using Social Media in their marketing plans and a few quickly came baring gifts that I could present to our 3000th fan, Amber Kedian.

Those fabulous Rotorua operators were:

• Agroventures Rotorua
• Fat Dog Cafe
• Polynesian Spa
• Rainbow Springs Kiwi Wildlife Park

First glimpse at new addition

We’d like to share with you all some great news!

KIM IS PREGNANT!!!

That’s right, number two is on the way and we couldn’t be any happier.

I must admit it was some fine work on my behalf. It was a game of two halves, full of ups and downs and full credit to the other team, they put up a valiant effort but in the end we managed to slip one past the goalie!
As of today we are just over 13 weeks, so already over a 1/4 of the way there. That was easy!
Kims’ due date is around the 24/25 of June 2009
